90-M-27 Budget ORDINANCE No.Qa-M-11 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1990 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1991, BY APPROVING THE BUDGET FOR SAID PERIOD AND APPROPRIATING THE NECESSARY FUNDS OUT OF THE GENERAL AND OTHER REVENUES OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, FOR SAID YEAR FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS AND FOR VARIOUS ACTIVITIES AND IMPROVEMENTS OF THE CITY i AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, as reqUired by the General Laws of the State of Texas and the City Charter, the budget has been prepared and submitted to the City Council with estimates' of expenditures and revenues of all City Departments and activities for the year beginning October 1, 1990 and ending September 20, 1991. WHEREAS, notice of a publ ic hearing upon said budget has been duly and legally published; and WHEREAS, said public hearing has been held and full and final consideration given said budget; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT for the purpose of providing the funds necessary and proposed to be expended in the budget for said City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1990 and ending September 30, 1991, the budget was prepared and submitted to the City Council for its consideration and approval and that said budget in the total amount of $4,512,997.00 and the same is hereby appropriated for the maintenance as set forth in said budget. SECTION 2. THAT the said budget of the City of Schertz, Texas, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1990 and ending September 30, 1991, an exact copy of which is marked "Exhibit A" and made a part hereof for all purposes the same as if it were copied in full herein, is hereby approved and adopted by the City Council for fiscal year 1990-1991. SECTION 3. THAT this ordinance approving and adopting a budget for the twelve-month period hereinabove specified is made in all things in accordance with the terms and provisions of the General Laws of the State of Texas ,and the City Charter. SECTION 4. THAT the public importance of this measure constitutes and creates an urgent public necessity, in order to comply with the provisions of the City Charter, requiring that this ordinance be passed and take effect as an emergency measure, and shall take effect and be in force immediately upon and after its passage. ,tL -L / PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this the ;J.S day of ';)@f)/CA/I:Jf"fC. 1990. f ATTEST: of Schertz OF CITY)
