AN ORDINANCE
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY
OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS BE AMENDED BY REVISING
CHAPTER 10, ARTICLE III, DIVISION 2 OF SAID
CODE, PROVIDING GENERALLY FOR EXCEPTIONS IN
THE STORAGE OF AN ANTIQUE VEHICLE AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:

THAT Article III, Division 2, Sec. 10-60 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Schertz, Texas be amended so that said
section shall read as follows:
"Sec. 10-60. Exceptions.
Paragraph (c)
(1) Following a hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission
on Abatement of Nuisance, Section 10-58(a), and after
confirmation that the vehicle in question satisfies the
requirements of an antique vehicle (35+ years old), a clean,
serviceable cover may be used to shield this vehicle frqm public
view. The cover shall be maintained in good repair for the
length of time it is used for this purpose. The cover shall be a
fitted car cover and constructed of durable opaque material. The
cover shall not be constructed from such things as parachutes,
used paint tarps and similar type tarps. Any variations from
this section must have the approval of the City Council."

THAT all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
