ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES, CITY OF SCHERTZ, CHAPTER 7
1/2, EXHIBIT 2, GARBAGE RATE SCHEDULE BY
REVISING PARAGRAPH "D" (ROLL OFF RATES),
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, Beck Readymix Concrete Company has raised its Type
IV landfill "tipping" rates by .40 cents per cubic yard,
effective 1 January, 1995, and;
WHEREAS, on 16 March, 1995, Alamo Waste Inc., the City's
solid waste franchisee, has requested a "pass through" rate
increase, on only the roll off contrainers used to haul dry Type
IV landfill material, to offset the increased tipping fees, and;
WHEREAS, it is the finding of City Council that the rate
increase requested by Alamo Waste Inc., reflects an increase in
the cost of operations beyond their control; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT, Chapter 7 1/2, Exhibit 2, Paragraph D, be amended to read
as follows;
"D. Roll-Off Rates Per Pull for open top containers, dry
material only.
20 cu. yard 193.17
30 cu. yard 218.87
40 cu. yard 244.58"
THAT, this rate change becomes effective immediately upon passage
as an emergency.
