BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING
MAY 17, 1994
The Schertz Board of Adjustment met on Tuesday, May 17,
1994, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal
Complex, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Schertz, Texas. The
following members were present: Earl W. Sawyer, presiding;
Joe Potempa; Hal Baldwin; Mary Marsh and Ken Greenwald.
Absent: Barbara Stanhope.
Mr. Sawyer opened the meeting by asking everyone to rise
and join him in the Pledge of allegiance.
#1 BOA HEARING: The purpose of the hearing was to
receive citizen comments on a request by Tim Huckobey, 1915
F.M. 1518, for a Special Exception to the Zoning Ordinance
allOWing him to locate a septic tank within 50' of a gas
easement.
Mr. Sweatt advised that Mr. Huckobey's business is located
at 1915 F.M. 1518. The septic tank and drain field goes
from the back of his building toward Cibolo Creek and
crosses the petroleum line owned by Texaco Oil and Gas over
to the septic tank, which is approximately ten foot from the
line itself. Texaco has expressed no objection to the
location of the line and drain fields at that location. Mr.
Huckobey is aware that in the event the need arises, Texaco
has reserved the right to go in and make repairs as
necessary.
Notices were mailed to property owners in the area. Eight
were mailed - one returned unknown, one was against and one
needed more information on the request.
Mr. Sawyer asked if anyone would like to speak

Mr. Greenwald moved to approve the request for a
