#1 PUBLIC HEARING: The Schertz Board of Adjustment to
receive citizen comments on a request by Mr. & Mrs. Coons.
2800 Hidden Grove, for an exception to the 10' required
setback for accessory buildings.
He then asked if anyone present would like to speak on the
request. No one wished to speak.
Mr. Sawyer then asked for comments from Board members.
Mr. Greenwald advised that Planning & Zoning is now in
concurrence with the exception as they have changed the size
of the building and have taken it out of the easement and
only have the request for the setback from the main
building.
Mr. Sweatt said that twenty-five letters were mailed to
property owners within 300 feet of this property. Of those
we received three responses - two for and one against. The
one against and one of the ones in favor of this request
expressed concern as to whether the building would be
visible from the front of the house.
Mr. Sweatt said that judging from the drawing submitted
with the application, it is fairly clear that you might be
able to see a portion of the building from the front of the
house.
