Mayor Sawyer introduced this o~dinance and read the caption as follows: ORDINANCE NO. 87 D-3B ~ 1,0/0& I ~ ~ AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON FM 1518 FROM THE NORTHWEST CITY LIMITS SOUTHEASTERLY TO THF;: INTERSECTION OF FM 78 IN THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS: AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT Ml. Mr. Gilmore said it was caused by a stuck valve. o B. Herald Sun has called to see if Council wanted to add their Christmas Greetings to others. Council concensus was go ahead. C. Received a letter from the Department of the Air Force on the proposed routing of the FM 78 Loop through Randolph Air Force Base. They have nothing against the routing and have asked the Highway Department to contact them for easements. D. December 3rd at 6:00 p.m. there will be the Christmas Tree' Lighting and program. E. Handed out copies of a Policy on Police complaints against officers that will be discussed at the next workshop meeting. This procedure has been reviewed by our attorney and falls in line with the Justice Department. 15 ITBKS BY COURCIL: Mr. Sharpe: A. would like to see a written report on the information given by our financial advisor on Northcliffe. Mr. Sharpe said suppose the Northcliffe Homeowners purchased the MUD District and then the City annexed them. Mr. Richard Harris said you cannot dissolve the district unless it is totally annexed by the City. B. reported that our representative on 911 has promised an article will be in the next weeks Herald Sun giving status on where they are in the Enhanced 911 system. D. those who plan on attending the Chamber of Commerce function on the 12th of December should notify Mr. Sharpe who will make reservations and reserve tickets. D E. On December 9th, there will be an AACOG meeting. F. the 20-28 transportation meeting will be at the Seguin State Bank at 5:00 p.m. Thursday night. Mr. Sharpe asked what kind of report the City would be presenting. Mr. Gilmore said Mr. Simonson will be giving them our report. Mr. Sharpe said we need to give them all the information we have, including the overpass on 135 at Wiederstein Road. Mr. Baldwin reported the Buffalo football team will play Kerrville Tivy at the Alamo Stadium in San Antonio and tickets are now on sale. Mr. Stanhope asked Mr. Sharpe if he had met with the people on the Welcome to Schertz sign. M',,~ ~ '~"-"':;" ( ~ #6 ITEMS BY MAYOR: Mayor Sawyer said he had talked with Pat Osborn, who lives on 135 by the Blue Bonnet Palace, and he is still having problems with people removing the nNo Parkingn signs and parking on his property. Mr. Sawyer said he realized that we do not control the road but perhaps we could get with Selma to stop some of the problems. Mr. Gilmore said we do have some control over the right-of-way and he will have our police check this out. 295 g 1.. 9/ ? /t.( B. Mr. Sharpe and the Mayor attended a meting Monday night at c; 7. q I <Z the Blue Bonnet Palace on trying to get horse racing at Retama, IO~ which should benefit the entire area. Mr. Sharpe asked if the Mayor had received anything from the post office regarding delivery in Greenshire. Mayor Sawyer had not. Mr. Sharpe had talked with Sharon Richetts, Schertz Postmaster, who said this was discussed at a meeting she attended and there does not seem to be any problem with Greenshire and maybe not FM 1518 either. Mayor Sawyer said he would be attending, on behalf of the City, the Enlisted Awards Night at Randolph Air Force Base. #7 ADJOURNMENT: Mr. Baldwin moved the meeting be adjourned at 7:17 p.m. Mr. Greenwald seconded the motion, which carried -- unanimously.
