Gilmore and City Secretary June G. Krause. IMayor Sawyer opened the meeting and welcomed all guests. He !advised that there was an honored guest in the audience and Icalled Doris Courtney forward so he could present her with a Ioerti.ficate of, Appreciation for her 'd'6nat:ions and" dedicated work ifor the'Lib'Cary over the"years."' Mr. Stanhope moved that 300 feet deep for the total frontage to be rezoned Neighborhood Services and the balance of the land would stay residential R-l. Mr. Greenwald seconded the motion. Mr. Sharpe explained that Mr. Aguilar was not at the last workshop where this was discussed so did not know the concensus of the Council. It was decided to go with the 300 foot across the front with Neighborhood Services and leave the rest as is. '. ., '. ~ B. The State Highway Department has asked that Council pass an ordinance for no parking in front of Bussy's Plea Market on the 135 Frontage Road. They will then put up the signs and we can enforce it. We will have an ordinance ready for next workshop. C. The San Antonio planning department group was in our office today and Mr. Gilmore said he made them aware that Schertz wanted FM 1518 all the way to 110. Mayor rawyer said it would be on the next workshop agenda. i #8 ITEMS BY MAYOR: Mayor Sawyer said that on the 14th of Fhis month he and his wife are having a party for the Council, ~ity employees, committees and all volunteers who make our city a ~ine place to live. Stop by anytime between five and ten {:>'clock. ~ayor Sawyer said he had appointed Hugh Hanlon and Warren Klebig ~o the Housing Authority Board. Without all our volunteers, we ~imply could not run this city - we are so proud of all our yolunteers. ~r.
