Mr. Aguilar seconded the motion. Mr. Baldwin request the following statement be made a part of the record: II I went over to see Mr. Gutierrez today concerning the di screpency in the garbage rate for the dipsy dumpsters in 3 cubic yard rates. We pay consistantly less for the containers for 1 yard, 2 yard and 4 yard dumpsters in the City of Schertz than the people in Universal City pay, but in the area of 3 yard dipsy dumpsters we pay more. In trying to determine why it was an exception in 3 yard and since the school district is the only person in the area that uses a 3 yard container. About the best I was able to come up with was the fact that that's the way the contract has been since the very beginning and no explaination was given. He said that's the way we bid it and that's the way it is. After a lot of discussion with him,! really feel like I came to what the reasons were and that being, that the City of Schertz gets its dumpsters for free and they're all 3 yard dumpsters. So, I guess you've got to make it back somewhere. t1ayor Sawyer c,alled for a vote which carried as fiollows: AYES: Councilmembers Sharpe, Baldwin, Duffield, Aguilar and Lawler.
