He also said that he had sent a letter to Rep. Allan Schoolcraft in relation
,- to a bill concerning animal shelters and the State's control over same.
I He had also sent letters to Both Sen Traeger and Bock but received no reply
from them.
He then asked Council to study the TML Legislative Reports he had furnished
as there are lots of bills that will not benefit the City.

EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 8, 1981
The Schertz City Council convened in Emergency Session, Wednesday, April 8,
1981 at 7:00 P.M. in the Conference Room of the Municipal Complex, 1400
Live Oak Road with the following members present: Mayor Jack M. Stomackin,
Sr., presiding; Richard L. Howe; Barbara Taylor; Jeff Duffield; Earl W.
Sawyer and Jacqueline Lawler. Staff present: City Manager Jimmy G. Gilmore.
#1 CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M.
#2 EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Mayor immediately called an executive
session under Article 6252-17, V.T.C.S.
Section 2-(g).
The emergency meeting was reconvened at 7:25 P.M.
#3 MUNICIPAL JUDGE: Mr. Sawyer moved to hire Mr. Paul Finley as
Municipal Judge. The motion was seconded by
Mrs. Lawler, and carried with the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Howe, Taylor, Duffield, Sawyer and Lawler
NAYS: None
#4 GENERAL DISCUSSION: None at this time.
