APRIL 24, 1979
The Schertz City Council convened in Special Session Tuesday, April 24, 1979,
at 7:00 P.M. in the Conference Room of the Municipal Building, 1400 Live Oak
Road with the following members present: Mayor Robert C. Bueker, Mayor Pro
Tem Earl W. Sawyer, Richard L. Howe, Gail Hyatt, Walter F. Schneider and Jack
Stomackin, Sr. Staff present: City Manager Walter W. Hill, Jr., Asst. City
Manager Hal Baldwin and City Secretary June G. Krause.
#1 Council met in a joint workshop session with the Planning and Zon-
ing Commission to discuss zoning.

#2 EXECUTIVE SESSION: Mayor Bueker called an Executive Session at
8:45 P.M. under Article 6252-17, Section 2 g of
Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended.

The Special Meeting was reconvened in open session at 10:12 P.M.
#3 SALARIES: Mr. Schneider moved to adopt option #2 of the pay schedule
as presented by the City Manager. Mr. Sawyer seconded the
motion which carried with the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Howe, Hyatt, Schneider, Sawyer and Stomackin
NAYS: None

Mr. Sawyer moved to increase the City Secretary's salary by 6%. Mr. Schneider
seconded the motion which carried with the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Howe, 'Hyatt, Schneider, Sawyer and Stomackin
NAYS: None

The Schertz City Council convened in Regular Session Tuesday, May 1, 1979 at
7:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers, 1400 Live Oak Road, with the following
members present: Mayor Robert C. Bueker, presiding; Mayor Pro Tem Earl W.
Sawyer, Richard L. Howe; Gail Hyatt; Walter F. Schneider; and Jack Stomackin,
Sr.. Staff Present: City Manager Walter W. Hill, Jr.; City Attorney Richard
W. Harris and City Secretary June G. Krause.
#1 APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A. Mr. Sawyer moved the minutes of the Special
meeti ng of April 14, 1979 be approved.
Mrs. Hyatt seconded the motion which carried with the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Howe, Hyatt, Schneider, Sawyer and Stomackin.
NAYS: None
B. Mr. Schneider asked that the minutes of the Special Meeting of April 16th
be amended to add the following notation after the vote on item #2 A:
liThe Mayor advised that a majority of four votes are required in order for a
passage of a BOA motion" .
Mr. Stomackin asked that, as there was some confusion, the minutes of the
Special Meeting of April 16, 1979, item #2 B reflect his was a Nay vote.
Mrs. Hyatt moved the minutes of the Special Session of April 16, 1979 be
