#14 CITY MANAGER'S REPORT: The City Manager gave the Council an
up-date on the agenda supplement items.
#15 ITEMS BY MAYOR: Mayor Bueker asked staff to take under consider-
ation the appointment of an alternate member to
the Board of Equalization designating someone that has agricultural inter-
ests.
#16 ITEMS BY COUNCIL: Mrs. Hyatt referred the the appointment of the
auditor and suggested that when the audit is
completed there be a workshop whereby the auditor can go into the audit in
detail with the Council.
#17 ADJOURNMENT: On a motion by Mrs. Hyatt, seconded by Mr. Sawyer and
unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M.

JULY 24,1979
The Schertz City Council convened in Special Session, Tuesday, July 24, 1979
at 7:00 P.M. in the Conference Room of the Municipal Complex, 1400 Live Oak
Road with the following members present: Mayor Robert C. Bueker, presiding;
Richard L. Howe; Gail Hyatt; Walter F. Schneider; Earl W. Sawyer and Jack M.
Stomatkin. Staff present; City Manager Walter W. Hill, Jr. and City Secretary
June G. Krause.
#1 ADMINISTRATIVE PUBLIC HEARING: The City Manager explained the purpose
of the Administrative Public Hearing
was to receive input and discuss the uses of the 1979-80 Revenue Sharing Funds.
His recommendations were: $25,000 for seal coating; $12,000 for two police
vehicles; $1,500 for backstops for A-4 ballfield and $1,000 for an asphalt
kettle
There were no citizens present; however one who was unable to attend sent
some suggestions such as: the need for repairs and painting of the small
pavilion; tree trimming. Council suggested perhaps another small pavilion
near the pool with mounted tables and benches.

As there were no further questions from Council, Mayor Bueker declared the
Public Hearing closed at 7:10 P.M. I
#2 WORKSHOP: Council discussed options to be taken under the new tax
Code; 2 TML inquiries concerning lawsuits, next agenda
items, Budget and annexation.
#3 ADJOURNMENT: On a motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried
the meeting adjourned at 9:22 P.M.
