Mr. Hill was to contact both County Commissioner Ackermann and theCounty Tax AIC in this rega rd. Mr. Johnson asked if the State had indicated whether or not they would mark the left turn lane on FM 78 and if they intend to mark this lane at a slower speed. Schneider, presiding; Richard L. Howe; Gail Hyatt; Earl W. Sawyer and Earl Johnson. Staff: City Manager Walter W. Hill, Jr., Asst. City Manager Hal Baldwin; Inspector Ron Garrison; Intern Richard Nash and City Secretary June G. Krause. #1 ZC-20: Mr. Schneider introduced the rezoning request by Mr. Jim Brunson to rezone a porti on of tract "A" Mobil e Vi 11 a Estates, Uni t I, from Neighborhood Services District to Mobile Home Park District. P&Z Chairman Aguilar introduced Mr. Brunson, who explained the reason for this request. He has a prospective buyer who wishes to put a mobile Home on this portion of the lot. As the lot is illshaped, it is not suitable for any other purpose. After discussion of the request and deciding it meets the four criteria as set out in the code, Chairman Aguilar set the Public Hearing date on this request for December 12, 1978 at 7:00 P.M. #2 ZC-21: The Mayor Pro Tem introduced the request to rezone a portion of a 92.472 acre tract out of the John Saladin Survey Abstract No. 299 from Pre-development to M-l Light Industrial District. ~l~ Mr. Aguilar, after ascertaining from both the Council and P&Z that this request meets the four criteria, set the public hearing date for December 12, 1978 at 7:00 P.M. #3 BRIEFING: Mr. Terry Pearce of the Community Development Institute at Southwest Texas State Uni versity ,spoke to the group regarding zoning practices. He offered any help available from his office and said he would be willing to work with staff, the Planning & Zoning Com- mission and the Council. #4 GENERAL DISCUSSION: Mr. Hill asked Building Inspector Ron Garrison to brief the Council and Commission on the work he and Intern Richard Nash were doing on the Building code update. #5 ADJOURNMENT: On a motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 8:43 P.M.
