Bueker, presiding; Mayor Pro Tern Walter F. Schneider; Richard L. Howe, Gail Hyatt, Earl W. Sawyer and Earl Johnson. Staff present: City Manager Walter W. Hill Jr., Asst. City Mgr. Hal Baldwin and City Secretary June G. Krause. #1 BUDGET WORKSHOP: Council met in workshop sessions with each department head. #2 ADJOURNMENT: On a motion duly made and seconded, the meeting ad- journed at 10:55 P.M. Bueker, Mayor Pro Tem Walter F. Schneider, Richard L. Howe, Earl W. Sawyer and Earl Johnson. Absent: Gail Hyatt #1 PUBLIC HEARING: The purpose of the public hearing was to consider rezoning Mobile Villa Estates, Unit One and a 22.85 acre tract of land located in the T. Herrera Survey No. 68 known as El Rancho Mobi.le Home Park from Pre-development Zoning District to Mobile Home District. Mr. Paul Warnok, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bruss and Mr. Joe Potempa all of Mobile Villa Estates and Mr. Jim Brunson of El Rancho discussed the rezoning with the Council and P&Z Commission members. The public hearing was declared closed at 7:30 P.M. by P&Z Chairman Aguilar. #2 Discussion of rezoning all lots located with a block which abutts the following streets: Main, Randolph Avenue, Exchange Avenue and Lindberg Avenue. Also the following four parcels of land: .367 acres out of the G. Malpaz Survey (409-415 Main - Mr. M); 2.032 acres out of the Schertz- 168 Rowell-Clausen Survey (403-405 Main - Highland Center); a .50 acre tract of land out of the G. Malpaz Survey (417 Main - Post Office) and a .267 acre tract of land out of the G. Malpaz Survey (408 Exchange - Apartments) from R-2 Single Family Dwelling District to G.B. General Business District. Council unanimously agreed to set a public hearing date of July 26th, 1978 on the proposed rezoning of the above.
