F. Mrs. Hyatt asked for a progress report on the rehabilitation of the south
side of Schertz. Mr. Harris working on the interpretation of HUD's require-
ments on land acquisition, which has to be accomplished before anything else
can be commenced.
#11 ADJOURNMENT: Mrs. Hyatt moved the meeting be adjourned at 8:31 P.M.
The motion was seconded by Mrs. Funk and carried
unanimously.

SPECIAL SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
DECEMBER 10, 1975
The Schertz City Council met in joint session with the Planning & Zoning Commission
Wednesday, December 10, 1975 at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, 401 Oak Street
with the following members present: Mayor Pro-Tem Donald J. Seeba, Walter F.
Schneider, Ed L. Sharpe and Gail Hyatt. Also City Manager Denny L. Arnold and City
Secretary June G. Krause. Absent: Mayor Robert C. Bueker and Nell G. Funk.
Planning and Zoning Members present: Chairman Johnny Wise, presiding; Earl Sawyer,
Sam Carey, Ray Stanhope. Absent: Dick Howe and Chuch Sharpe.
#1 CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Wise called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.
#2 READING OF MINUTES: There were no minutes available at this time.
#3 SPECIFIC USE PERMIT: Chairman Wise asked Mr. Arnold to explain the proce-
dures involved. Mr. Arnold read a letter of request
from the Schertz Baptist Church to build an addition across the street from their
present church. He also gave the recommendations of the City Inspector.
Councilmember Schneider moved'to hold a Public Hearing on the Church's request for
a Specific Use Permit on January 6, 1975. Mrs. Hyatt seconded the motion which
carried with the following vote:
AYES: Mr. Seeba, Mr. Schneider, Mr. Sharpe and Mrs. Hyatt.
NAYS: None
P&Z member Carey moved to hold a Public Hearing of the Church's request for a Specific
Use Permit on January 6, 1975. Mr. Stanhope seconded the motion which carried with
the following vote:
AYES: Mr. Carey, Mr. Stanhope and Mr. Sawyer.
NAYS: None
#4 ADJOURNMENT: Mr. Stanhope moved the meeting be adjourned at 7:58 P.M.,
