12-03-1974 (2) Ibl PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL NOVEMBER 26, 1974 The Schertz City Council held a Public Hearing Tuesday, November 26, 1974 in the Council Chambers, 401 Oak Street at 7:00 P.M. Members present were: Mayor Robert C. Bueker, presiding; Mrs. Nell G. Funk, Mr. Robert Schwartz, Tom Koo1e, and Mrs. Bobbie L. Koch. Absent: Donald J. Seeba. Aiso present were Planning and Zoning Board Members; Chairman Johnny Wise, Ray Stanhope, Chuck Sharp and Sam Carey. Citizen Advisory CVllllui ttee members: Chairman Robert Strange, F. Quesada Mary Fontenot, Floyd Deater, Dovie Caldwell, Walt Mentzer, and Gordon Chisenhall. Mayor Bueker explained the purpose of the Public Hearing was to obtain citizen input pertaining to City problems for the for- mulation of a Cuulluu.ni ty Development application. There were nine citizens present in addition to the sixteen above mentioned CUll11ui ttee members and Council. City Staff assistant, Larry Burnside, fully explained the project. There followed a lengthy discussion of the problems needing dissolving in the City and priority for same. Bueker presiding; Mrs. Nell G. Funk, Donald J. Seeba, Tom Koole, Robert E. Schwartz, and Mrs. BobbieL. Koch. Also present were City Manager Denny L. Arnold and City Secretary June G. Krause. There were sixteen citizens present for the hearing. Larry Burnside, Staff Assistant, handed out a list with explanations of the Irnentified Needs and Problems compiled from the public hearings and meetings held by the Planning & Zoning Cuulluission, Citizens Advisory Committee and City Council. Each need and problem was discussed thoroughly as to priorities. Bueker, presiding; Mrs. Nell G. Funk, Donald J. Seeba, Tom Koo1e and Mrs. Bobbie L. Koch. Also present City Manager Denny L. Arnold and City Secretary June G.Krause. The Public Hearing was held pursuant to annexation proceed- ings on a 71.046 acre tract of land along FM 1518 out of Guadalupe County, Texas. Mr. Richard Kreutler appeared representing himself and his sister and brother-in-law who own about 1/3 of the acreage under consideration. Mr. Kreutler was not stenuously objecting to the annexation but wanted to know what he could expect from the City as a result of the annexation, and what the zoning would be. Mr. Kreutlerwas told that like all newly annexed i~~abitants, he would be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of all the citizens of Schertz. The zoning will be pre-development.
