Council discussed several drainage problem areas which had been again brought to the attention of Council members. (8) HOMECRAFT SUBDIVISION - Mr. Arnold briefed the Council on a meeting he, Mr. Farr and Mayor Bueker attended with representatives of Homecraft at the FHA office in San Antonio concerning financing of the Homecraft subdivision. (7) Newsletter Review: Council reviewed the proposed newsletter for the month of May and approved it as amended. #9 GENERAL DISCUSSION: Chief Schoonover briefed the Council on his meeting with Mr. Gene Sparks, Texas Highway Department representative, concerning the traffic light at the Cibolo Creek bridge. #10 ADJOURNMENT: Mrs. Hyatt moved the meeting be adjourned at 11 :35 P.M.. The motion was seconded by Mr. Walter Schneider and carried with a unanimous vote. Bueker, presiding; Nell G. Funk, Donald J. Seeba, Walter F. Schneider, Ed L. Sharpe and Gail Hyatt. Also present were City Manager Denny L. Arnold, Engineer Howard Gaddis and City Secretary June G. Krause. The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear all evidence relative to the proposed annexation of 266.035 acres of land out of Guadalupe County on IH 35. There were no citizens present to voice opinions on the annexation. After general discussion by the Council, Mayor Bueker declared the Public Hearing closed at 7:27 P.M. 2G;) SPECIAL SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL JUNE 10, 1975 The Schertz City Council convened in Special Session, Tuesday, June 10, 1975 at 7:27 P.M. in the Council Chambers, 401 Oak Street, with the following members present: Mayor Robert C. Bueker, presiding; Nell G. Funk, Donald J. Seeba, Walter F. Schneider, Ed L. Sharpe and Gail Hyatt. Also City Manager Denny L. Arnold, City Engineer Howard Gaddis and City Secretary June G. Krause. / #1 SWIMMING POOL: Mr. Hans, swimming pool design consultant, presented 1L>(1~1'..;1 detailed pool design plans with cross-section drawings for Council discussion and consideration. Mrs. Funk moved to approve the tentative plans and authorize the City Engineer to draft specifications and advertise for bids. Mr. Schneider seconded the motion which carried with the following vote: AYES: Mrs. Funk, Mr. Seeba, Mr. Schneider, Mr. Sharpe and Mrs. Hyatt. NAYS: None #2 COST OF LIVING: Mr. Arnold gave the Council comparison sheets showing -' how a proposed cost-of-living increase for employees} oi-7/-;J would effect the present budget. Mr. Seeba moved to give all City employees a 5% cost-of-living increase effective June 1, 1975. Mrs. Funk seconded the motion. After considerable discussion, the motion carried with the following vote: AYES: Mr. Funk, Mr. Seeba, Mr. Schneider and Mrs. Hyatt. NAYS: Mr. Sharpe GENERAL DISCUSSION: A. Council discussed various ways the newsletter could possibly be delivered to the individual homes in the City, without political implications. B. Mayor Bueker briefed the Council on the new industry being planned for the Industrial Park area on IH 35. C. Mrs. Funk said she had been asked if a three-way stop could at the intersection of Main Street and the low water crossing.
