They then asked the City Manager to write Mr. Nalls, Superintendent, acknowledging receipt of the letter. (2) Mr. Sharpe discussed the large buttons recently placed on Main Street saying they had created more of a traffic problem than before, especially for the business places in that area. He asked if a sign could be placed on the medium at Lindberg and Main stating a left turn is permitted across the buttons as most citizens assume it is against the law. Chief Schoonover advised he had nothing but praise from the motoring public and would investigate the possibility of placing the sign. Bueker, presiding; Mrs. Nell G. Funk, Donald C. Bueker, Walter F. Schneider, Ed L. Sharpe and Gail Hyatt. Mayor Bueker stated the purpose of the Public Hearing was to allow citizens to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation of 13.20 acres of land out of Guadalupe County. City Manager Denny Arnold pointed out on the plat the loca- tion of the land in question. There were no citizens wishing to be heard.
