SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
FEBRUARY 23, 1974
The City Council convened in Special Session in the City
Council Chambers, Saturday, February 23, 1974, at 9:30 A.M
with the following members present: Mayor Bueker, Mr. Koole
Mrs. Koch and Mr. Sandifer. Absent: Mr. Schwartz and Mrs. Funk.

Mayor Bueker opened the meeting by explaining the only
item to be discussed or acted upon is the setting of a date for
the Public Hearing for a proposed annexation.
Mrs. Koch moved to set the date of March 5, 1974, for ~e
Public Hearing on the proposed annexation of 230.56 acres of
land along IH 35. Mr. Sandifer seconded the motion with all
members voting aye.
Mayor Bueker briefed the Council on a meeting he and Mr.
Harris, attorney for the City, attended Friday afternoon at
2:00 P.M. with the Garden Ridge representatives concerning
Extra Territorial Jurisdiction between the two Cities.
Mr. Sandifer asked how all this annexation started. Mayor
Bueker explained it started a long time ago as a normal pro-
cedure but specifically was brought about by the City of Selma's
proceedings. The City of Schertz needs to establish permanent
boundaries with Selma and Garden Ridge.
On a motion being made and duly seconded, the meeting
adjourned at 9:45 A.M.

The City Council convened in Special Session in the
City Council Chambers, Thursday, February 28, 1973 at 5:05 P.M.
wi th the :fOllowing members present: Mayor Bueker, Mayor Pro-Tem
Schwartz, Mrs. Koch, and Mr. Koole. Absent: Mrs. Funk and
Mr. Sandifer.
Mayor Bueker explained through a technicality the Public
Hearing as set on February 23, 1974 could not take place;
therefore, the purpose of this meeting was to correct the date
of the public hearing.
Mrs. Koch moved to call a Public Hearing for March 19, 1974
pursuant to annexation of 230.56 acres of land on IH 35. Mr.
