REGULARAGENDA:
1. Minutes: Consideration andlor action regarding the approval of the minutes of
the 111112021 meeting.
- Margaret Riley moved to accept the 1.1/1/2021 minutes with
corrections.
- Laura Wilson seconded the motion.
- Motion carried. The 11/1/2021 minutes were accepted with corrections.
3. Librarian's Report: Librarian will report on the following items,
.Libra usage and statistir;s
- The statistics for October, November, and December 2021 were
discussed.
- In person programs were held for adults, though attendance continues to
be down.
- Library visit and circulation numbers continue to be lower than pre-
Covid times.
4. Bookstore Report: Committee reported on the following items:

The bookstore is in need of more volunteers. Only one new volunteer has
been added.
Banana Books bought 50 boxes of books at $3 each. There are still a lot of
books.
- A discussion was held about when to have the next book sale. April 8th
and 9th was suggested. Melissa will check facility availability. Other dates
in April could be back up dates.

1. LAB By-laws
Melissa asked for input on a review of the current by-laws. She is also having the
city attorney review the current by-laws as well as reviewing the by-laws at other
Texas libraries. She will present any suggested changes at the next meeting.
2. Alternate LAB members
A discussion was held about how to handle 2 alternate board members who have
not attended many, if any, meetings. After discussion with the City Secretary, letters
have been drafted and signed by Patti Paulson to the 2 members. These letters ask
the members to let the LAB know of their intentions - resign or begin attending
meetings.
