SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 25, 1984
The Schertz City Council convened in Special Meeting Thursday,
October 25, 1984, at 7:00 P.M. in the Conference Room of the
Municipal Complex, 1400 Live Oak Road with the following members
present: Mayor Earl W. Sawyer, presiding; Charles B. Sharpe;
Adolph Aguilar and Ken Greenwald. Absent were Ross Hoover and
Hal Baldwin. Staff was City Secretary June G. Krause.
#1 Consideration of water contract with the City of Cibolo.
Mayor Sawyer explained that he had called this meeting after
receiving a letter from Mayor Little of Cibolo in which he asked
for more time before shutting off the Dobie water connection.
Our letter to them had stated that we would accomodate the wishes
of their council and comply with the contract and would
disconnect the Dobie water line October 29, 1984. Mr. Sawyer
wanted Council input before sending a written reply to Mayor
Little.
Council discussed the various letters between the two Mayors and
agreed to defer discont inuance of water service at the Dobie
connection for a period of thirty days from the date of the
letter, October 26th. They also stated in the letter that the
City of Schertz records do not indicate any agreement for any
.~ connection other than the one in the original contract. Council
also agreed to state to Cibolo Council that we are willing to
meet with them at an early date to work on the amendment to the
contract.
There being no further business to come before Council, Mayor
Sawyer declared the meeting closed at 8:10 P.M.
