The Schertz Planning and Zoning Commission convened on October 24,2007 at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal
Complex, Council Chambers, 1400 Schertz Parkway Building #4, Schertz, Texas.

CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Mr. Richmond called the meeting to order at 6:31 P.M.

CITIZEN COMMENTS
Mr. Brockman, 1000 Elbel, asked the commission about the signs located on Borgfeld Rd. near the auto
shop. He stated that members from the BOA appreciated the AP A conference.
John Cunningham, 2404 Woodbridge, had some questions about the public hearing that was withdrawn. Mr.
Richmond explained that the hearing was for zoning only. Mr. Rhodes advised Mr. Cunningham that if the
applicant reapplies new notices will be mailed out to residents.

CONSENT AGENDA:
A.
Consider and act upon the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting minutes for October 10, 2007.
Following reading of the agenda item, Mr. Greenwald moved to approve Consent Agenda Item 3A. Mr.
Wallace seconded the motion. Vote unanimous. Motion carried.
4.
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
A.
ZC2007-010
Hold a public hearing, consider and act upon a request to rezone 8.492+ acres from Single-Family
Residential-7 (R-7) to General Business District (GB). The property is located at the southeast comer
of Maske Road and Schertz Parkway.
The applicant withdrew the public hearing item.

6. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION
A. City Council
Mr. Carpenter had no comments.
B. Director's Report
Mr. Rhodes stated he had no comments.
Ms. Gabbard answered Mr. Evans' questions from the previous meeting. She stated that the streets in
Kramer Farms have not been released to the City of Schertz and upon release there would be a warranty
period. She said that the dirt being removed from behind Kensington is being sold by the owner to
Lowe's and will be replaced.
C. Planning & Zoning Commissioner Comments
Ms. Tutschke:
Stated she enjoyed the AP A Conference.
Mr. Greenwald:
No comments.
Mr. Evans:
Stated he enjoyed the AP A Conference and said that he felt the Legislative update needed to be passed on
to City Council.
Mr. Wallace:
No comments.
Mr. Haddock:
No comments.
Mr. Richmond:
Stated that the legislative update at the AP A conference was outstanding! He reminded the commission
of the joint meeting with council on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 6:30 pm.
