SPECIAL MEETING
April 28, 2008
A Special Meeting was held by the Schertz City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, on April
28, 2008, at 5:30 p.m., in the Municipal Complex Council Chambers, 1400 Schertz Parkway,
Building #4, Schertz, Texas. The following members present, to-wit:
Mayor Hal Baldwin
Council Member Jim Fowler
Council Member Michael Carpenter
Mayor Pro-Tern John Trayhan
Council Member Tony Wilenchik
Staff Present: City Manager Don Taylor
City Secretary Brenda Dennis
Assistant City Manager David
CALL TO ORDER SPECIAL MEETING
Mayor Baldwin called the meeting to order at 5:35p.m.
1. Presentation and consideration and/or action regarding the Certified Annual Financial
Statement FY 2006-2007.
Mayor Baldwin recognized Fred Timmons with Thompson, Williams, Biediger, Kastor and
Young L.L.C. who came forward going over the statement answering questions from Council.
Mayor Baldwin recognized Council Member Wilenchik who moved, seconded by Council
Member Fowler to approve the Certified Annual Financial Statement FY 2006-2007 as presented
with corrections noted. Vote was unanimous. Motion Carried
Mayor Baldwin read a letter from Mr. Aston thanking the Public Works department for their
excellent customer service.
Mayor Baldwin read a letter from DA T regarding Digital Displays.
Mayor Baldwin announced he had received a letter (written in French) from the City of
Riedisheim France; Council Member Carpenter read the portions that he could interpret. Mayor
Baldwin stated that he would have someone translate the letter and bring it back at a future date.
