RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
SERVICE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SCHERTZ AND WEBQA, INC.
(WEBQA) FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF A WEB-BASED CITIZEN REQUEST
MANAGEMENT (CRM) PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, WEBQA's web-based software (GovQA) provides cities with a proven
solution for managing all citizen requests and questions. The system proactively provides
answers to citizen questions 24/7 which improves citizen satisfaction and reduces
redundant questions for staff. With GovQA, citizen service requests or complaints can be
entered by city staff or citizens themselves through a city website. Each entry is
automatically assigned a request number and instantly routed to the correct person or
department responsible for handling the request. Once issues are resolved, the citizens are
automatically notified of the outcome. Cities that use the GovQA system benefit from
improved communication, issue tracking and responsiveness to citizens;
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz desires to enter into a service agreement with WEBQA
for the implementation of the GovQA web-based citizen request management program;
WHEREAS, the agreement attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein for
all purposes represented the proposed Agreement between the parties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Schertz,
Texas as follows:
1. That the City Council hereby approved the Services Agreement between the City
of Schertz and WEBQA, Inc.
2. That the City Manager be authorized to execute the Services Agreement between
the City of Schertz and WEBQA, Inc.
