A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL TO CPS ENERGY (CPS) TO
FUND A TOTAL ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $29,152.00 FROM COMMUNITY
INFRASTRUCTURE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (CIED) FUNDS FOR
THE OAKS AT SCHERTZ PARKWAY.
WHEREAS, CPS Energy Board of Trustees adopted a resolution in 1993 to establish a fund to
finance the conversion of overhead utility lines to underground operations; and,
WHEREAS, CPS Energy Board of Trustees adopted a resolution on June 19, 1995 which provided
the definition of eligible projects; and,
WHEREAS, on January 19,2005 the CPS Energy Board of Trustees established the CIED Fund
and transferred all remaining funds from the Overhead Conversion Fund into the CIED Fund for
relocation of facilities;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS THAT:
The City Council supports, and requests that CPS Energy authorize and appropriate City of Schertz
CIED Funds in an estimated amount of $29,152.00 to be utilized for the Oaks at Schertz Parkway
development.
The City Council requests that CIED funds shall be first drawn down from year 2005 CIED
followed by 2006 CIED funds and any remaining balance coming from said CIED funds available
from deposits accumulated in the City of Schertz CIED fund accumulated prior to January 31,
2005.
