MINUTES
The Schertz Board of Adjustment convened a public hearing on Monday, December 5, 2005 at 6:00
P.M. in the Municipal Complex Council Chambers, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Schertz, Texas.

1. Call to Order
Chairman Hartzog called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Richmond addressed the Board of Adjustment Members on signage in the city.

Consider and act upon approval of the October 24, 2005 Board of Adjustment Minutes.
Ms. Hill made a motion to approve the minutes with the corrections noted.
Mr. Dubwn seconded the motion. Motion carried. Vote unanimous.
4. Public Hearing
Chairman Hartzog opened the public hearing on the request for variance BOA2005-001 O. The
Chairman stated that this public hearing would accept public input on the specified BOA items and
that the BOA would consider all citizens comments in rendering its decision.

Hold a public hearing and consider and act upon a request for a variance to install a deck 3 feet
into the rear yard setback at 3408 Biltmore Manor, Block: 16, Lot: 15, Ridge at Carolina
Crossing Sub-division, Zoning: R-6. Applicant: Mr. & Mrs. Kevin Polite
There were 6 letters sent out to surrounding neighbors with no replies back.
Mr. Truitt said that staff supported the deck variance request.

Mr. Dubwn made a motion to approve the deck variance for Mr. & Mrs. Polite.
Ms. Hill seconded the motion. Motion carried. Vote unanimous.
5. Items by Commissioners and City Staff
Mr. Truitt advised the members that there would be a BOA meeting January 23,2006 with one (1)
item on the agenda.
6. Adjournment: Mr. Hartzog adjourned the meeting at 6:48 P.M.
