ORDINANCE NQ.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS
The municipal government of the city shall consist of
a city council composed of the mayor and five alderman, a
majority of whom shall constitute a quorum for the transact-
ion of business, except at called meetins or meeting for the
imposition of taxes, when two thirds of a full board shall
constitute a quorum. The other officers of the corporation
shall be those as have been heretofore or may be hereafter
designated by ordinance of the City Council of the City of
Schertz, Texas. The above named officers shall be elected
by the qualified electors of said City, as hereinafter pro-
vided for and shall hold their offices for two years and un-
til the election and qualification of their successors.
At the First Election under Title 28, Chapter 2,
R. C. S. of Texas held in the City of Schertz, April ~
1959, three city councilmen shall be elected, to fill the
posts now held by Elgin Beck, W. E. Ebert and Walter Schertz,
and the Mayor, H. P. Thulemeyer, councilmen, A. O. Haverlah,
and Geo. P. Bolton, and the Marshall, Hugo Ackerman shall
serve in the offices aforenamed~11~e First Tuesday in April,
1960, and until the election and qualification of their
successors.
