ORDIANANCE

THAT WHEREAS, the laws of the State of Texas, provide
for the procurement of fire engines and other apparatus for
the extinquishment ot1ires and provision of engine houses
for perserving the same by Municipal Corporations and
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz, Texas, a Municipal Cor-
poration wishes to procure fire engines and other apparatus
for the extinquishment of fires and to provide an engine house
for preserving the same, and;
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Schertz, deems
it advisable and necessary to issue interest bearing time
warrants payable out of the funds of said City to evidence the
indebtedness to be incurred in providing such items as here-
inabove set out, and
WHEREAS it is now proper that the City Council give
notice to bidders for the procurement of said items; and
WHEREAS, it is proper that the City Council give notice
at the same time of its intention to issue ~ts time warrants as
aforesaid;
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the
City of Schertz, Texas;
That the Mayor of the City of Schertz, be and he is here-
by authorized, ordered and instructed to do all things necessary
or convenient to have published the notice required by Chapter
163, Acts of the Regular Session of the 42nd Legislature of
Texas, (Article 2368A, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes); that
said notice shall ~pecify the time and place when and where

bids will be received, and
WHEREAS, there is no newspaper published in such City,
the notice of letting of such contract shall be given by caus-
iug notice thereof to be posted at the City Hall for fourteen
days prior to the time of letting such contract,
THAT said notice shall also convey the information
that it is the intention of the City of Schertz to pay a part
of the contract price for the procurement of the heretofore
me.ntioned items in interest bearing time warrants; that it
is the intention of the City Council of the City of Schertz,
Texas, to pass an order of the ~ day of ~ ' 1959,
authorizing the issuance of interest bearing time warrants
aginst the funds of said City in an amount not to exceed

engines and other apparatus for the extinquishment of fires
and the provision of an engine house for perserving the same.
THAT said notice shall contain such additional informa-
tion that shall be deemed necessary, and that said notice shall
be substantially in words and figures as follows:

at the office of the Mayor of the City of Schertz, in the

City Hall of the City of Schertz, Texas, until ~ o'clock
~M. upon the ?-J-A....- day Of~, 1959, and publicly
opened and read, after which the bids will be considered by
the City Council of the City of Schertz, and award of contract
made as soon thereafter as practicable.
City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, reserves
the right to reject any and all bids and waive any or all
formalities. Specifications and requirements of such articles
and items heretofore listed may be obtained from H. P. Thule-
meyer, Mayor of the City of Schertz, Texas.
Notice is also given that it is the intention of the
City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, to pay a part of

is the intention of the City Council of the City of Schertz,
