. MINUTES-OF THE MONTHLY MEETING
November 20, 2006
The November monthly meeting of the Schertz Youth Commission was called to order by Emily
Furillo, Preside&t, at 6:30 pm.

Mrs. Ellis welcomes everyone to the meeting.
Emily introduces Asst. Police Chief Beverly Todd
Chris motions to accept last months minutes, Travis seconds, a vote is called and all vote aye.
Chris starts a discussion on the library from last meeting. He talks aboutdue dates and the name
submission. It has comenp that using proper names for library rooms is usually held for.patrons.
The name submission is nota c~petition.. Responses should include the persons name, their
age (between 13and19)andthen-ni.m1e for the teen room. The schools that will be participating
are Clemens, Steele and Randolph High Schools. The dates have been moved to January 1 st
through February 28th.
Asst. Police Chief Beverly Todd addresses the commission about what tb.~ Schertz Police
Department is currently doing. She discusses a possible fundraiser-a baseball game between the
Schertz PDand the School pD.
Mrs. Ellis discusses the Festival of Artgels
Mrs. Ellis discussed the similarities and differences between the Schertz and Cibolo Youth
Commissions. A mixer between the two commissions was discussed.
Next meeting we will discuss meeting dates for 2007.
Meeting was adjourned at 7~3' pm.
