CITY OF SCHERTZ ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
The City of Schertz Economic Development Corporation (EDq will meet for a regular meeting on
Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. in the City Council Chambers, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Schertz,
Texas. This is an open meeting, subject to the open meeting laws of the State of Texas. Notice of
time, date, place, and agenda is hereby posted on or before Monday, June 23, 2008 at 11:30 a.m., as
required by law. This facility is wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are available.
Audio units for the hearing impaired are available for any meeting. Advanced notice is
recommended.

2. Public comment.
The EDC cannot discuss a'!} presented issue, nor mqy a'!} action be taken on a'!} issues at this time (Attomry
General Opinion ]C-OI69). Comments are limited to (3) minutes, and this time is not traniferable. Discussion fry
the EDC if a'!} item not on the agenda shall be limited to statements of specific factual iriformation given in
response to a'!} inquiry, a recitation of existingpoliry in response to an inquiry, and/or a proposal to place the item
on a future EDC agenda.

3. Approval of meeting minutes dated May 29,2008.
4. Approval of the monthly financial report from the City Finance Director.
ITEMS FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION:
5. Discussion and action on proposals received for purchase of outdoor stage.
6. Discussion and direction on Municipal Development District.
7. Discussion, direction and action on a request for Walgreen's development subsidy.
8. Discussion, direction and action on a request for Brighter Futures Learning Center
development subsidy.

9. Closed Session in accordance with Texas Local Government Code, Sections 551.071
(Consultation with Attorney), 551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), 551.073
(Deliberations about Gifts and Donations), 551.074 (personnel Matters), 551.076
(Deliberations about Security Devices), and 551.086 (Economic Development). In addition to
the matters listed above, any matter scheduled for open session may be discussed in Closed
Session, as deemed appropriate and authorized by law.
10. General announcements on meetings attended and upcoming events from the Executive
Director.
11. General announcements on meetings attended and upcoming events from the President.
12. General announcements on meetings attended and upcoming events from Board Members
13. Presentation, discussion and possible action on future agenda items: A Director may inquire
about a subject for which notice has not been given. A statement of specific factual
information or the recitation of existing policy may be given. Any deliberation shall be limited
to a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting.
14. Adjourn.
The Board reserves the right to discuss and appropriate act upon any item listed on the agenda in open session. In
addition, the Board reserves the right to adjourn into Closed Session at any time during the course of this meeting to
discuss any of the abovementioned or following matters, as authorized by the Texas Local Government Code:
Sections 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney), 551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), 551.073 (Deliberations
about Gifts and Donations), 551.074 (personnel Matters), 551.076 (Deliberations about Security Devices), and 551.086
(Economic Development). No action may be taken in Executive Session.
A quorum of the City Council and/ or other City Boards, Committees, or Commissions may be present at this meeting.
The City Council and/or other City Boards, Committees, or Commissions may not take action regarding public business
or policy.
