RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN ANNUAL ARRANGE-
MENTS LETTER OF AGREEMENT
WhereaS, the Department of Rousing and Urban Developlll!!nt and the City
of SCHERTZ , Texas, have held several meeUngs to determine
how best to utilize the resources of both the city and the Federal Govern-
ment to implement the City's Community Development program; and '
Whereas,. it is anticipated that the United States Department of Rousing
and Urban Development will submitt to the City of SCHERTZ
Texas, a Letter of Agreement relating to the Annual Arrangements Program;
and
,
Whereas, it is in the best interest of the health, safety, and general
welfare of the City of SCHERTZ , Texas, to parUcipate with
the Federal Govermnent on an Annual Arrangements basis.
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ , TEXAS. that:
1. The. matters and facts stated in the Preamble hereof are hereby
found 'to be true and correct.
2. ROBERT C. BUEKER , Mayor of the City of SCHERTZ ,
Texas. be, and he hereby is, granted authority, and is so directed, to execute
on behalf of the City of. SCHERTZ , Texas, ani Annual Arrangements
Lette.r of Agreement with the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
3. Upon execution of said Letter of Agre~nt by the Mayor, the City
Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to ~~ the Letter of Agree-
ment to be publicized in its entirety in the local newspaper and forward
a copy of such publication to the Department of Rousing and Urban Development.
