A RESOLUTION
TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY SERVICE AND PROTECTION TO
NORTHCLIFF SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, the need exists to have emergency fire fighting
protection and emergency medical service for residents of the North-
cliff Subdivision, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS,
That the Schertz Volunteer Fire Department and the Schertz
Area Facilities for Emergency Service will provide the services stated
above in accordance with the documents attached hereto.

WHEREAS, Homecraft Corporation owns certain land in
Coma 1 and Guadalupe Counties, Texas, which is being developed for
residential purposes; and
-, WHEREAS, ~qid p~operty, being so dev~loped is know~ as
the Northcliffe Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, Northcliffe Subdivision does not at the present
time have emergency. fire fighting protection; and
WHEREAS, the Schertz Volunteer Fire Department has
agreed to furnish emergency fire fighting protection to the North-
H' cliffe Subdivision; NOW" THEREFORE,

That the Schertz Volunteer Fire Department and Homecraft'
Corporat:i,on DO HERE'B'Y CONTRACT AND AGREE as follows:
1) The Scnertz Volunteer Fire Department will
furnish emergency fire fighting protection to
the area known as Northcliffe Subdivision.
2) This agreement may be terminated by either
party, however, the Schertz Volunteer Fire
~epartment agrees not to terminate this agree-
ment unless and U~il Homecraft Corporation has
secured another a equate source for furnishing
emergency fire f~hting protection to the '
Northcliffe Subdivision.
3) Homecraft .Corporation agrees to furnish,
upon demand of the Schertz Volunteer Fire
Departmen t, land in the Northcliffe Subdivision

The Schertz Area Facility for Emergency Services
(~AFES) is a qualified Emergency Medical Service (EMS), -
staffed by volunteers '~lO provide EMS and ambulance
transpcirting service ~ith~n a wide area. The Northcliffe
Subdivision falls within the boundaries of the SAFES
area of service and would receive EMS.
I hope this letter ,~ill explain EMS in your subdivision
area.
