A RESOLUTI ON
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF THREE (3) ACRES
OF LAND FOR THE AMOUNT OF TWENTY SEVEN
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($27,000.00) FROM THE GOOD
SHEPHERD CATHOLIC CHURCH.
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz, Texas, finds it necessary to
purchase property for the construction of a Community Activity Center,
parking lot and related activities; and that certain property situated
within the City of Schertz, Texas, described as 3.00 acres of land out
of a 10.00 acre tract described in Volume 408, page 13 of the Deed Records
of Guadalupe County, Texas, and being out of the G. Malpaz Survey No. 67,
Abstract 222 is adequate for such purposes, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS,
That the foregoing described three (3) acre tract of land be purchased for
a consideration of twenty seven thousand dollars ($27,000.00) and that the
Mayor and City Secretary be authorized and directed to sign all necessary
documents to secure acceptance of a Deed of Trust conveying ownership of
said three (3) acre tract of land to the City of Schertz, Texas, and
Be it further resolved that the purchase of said three (3) acre tract of
land be consumated with the deliverance of a check drawn on the City of
Schertz Community Development Fund in the amount of $27,000.00.
