A RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS-THAT THE CITY OF SCHERTZ
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE OFFICE OF TRAFFIC
'SAFETY TO EMPLEMENT AND OPERATE A SELECTIVE
TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the State of Texas through the Office of Traffic
Safety, State Department of Highways and Public Trasnportation, is
offering to cities in the state the implementation and operation of
a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program for cities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz is desirous of taking
advantage of said program and that there is a need for this program
in this city; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
That the City of Schertz, Texas enter into a contract with the Office
of Traffic Safety, State Department of Highways and Public Transpor-
tation to implement and operate a Selective Traffic Enforcement
Program for the City of Schertz, Texas; and that a copy of this
resolution be sent to Mr. James L. Freeman, District Manager of the
Office of Traffic Safety, State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation, for his information and observance.
