A RESOLUTION
OF THE CITY OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS SUPPORTING THE RECOMMENDATIONS
OF THE GOVERNOR'S AREAWIDE PLANNING ADVISORY
COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Governor's Areawide Planning Advisory Committee
has recommended the designated 208 Boundaries be modified to exclude the
Cibo1o Creek watershed, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz supports the
recommendation to exclude the Cibo1o Creek watershed, and
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Water Resources, on behalf
of the Governor will conduct a public hearing on December 21,1978, for the
purpose of receiving testimony from interested citizens and governmental
entities concerning the removal of the designation from the San Antonio 208
Designated Area and the Alamo Area Council of Government, as the areawide
Planning Agency, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, that
1. The City Council of the City of Schertz supports the recommendation
of the Governor's Areawide Planning Advisory Committee and the
proposed action of the Governor as it pertains to the Cibolo
Creek Watershed.
2. The Mayor or his representative is authorized to present this
resolution with accompanying remarks at the December 21st
public hearing.
