RESOLUTION NO, ,/9 - R - 5{
A RESOLUTION
PROVIDING THAT ARTICLES 1 AND 2 OF HOUSE BILL
1060 SHALL NOT APPLY TO 1979 CITY TAXES,
WHEREAS, H,B, 1060, Article 1 defines which land will
qualify for agricultural valuation, how such valuation shall be made,
roll back penalties and application procedures; and Article 2 is
similiar as it pertains to timber land, and
WHEREAS, Article 1 and 2 takes effect immediately unless
the City Council prescribes that the provisions do not apply to 1979
taxes, and
WHEREAS, the amount of research required by H,B. 1060
would delay the finalization of the 1979 Tax Roll, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, that

The provisions of Article 1 and 2 of H,B. 1060 shall
not apply to 1979 City of Schertz taxes.
