A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS,
ACKNOWLEDGING THAT THERE IS A CONTINUING REQUIRE-
MENT TO ASSURE THE INTEGRITY OF SECURITY WITHIN
THE MUNICIPAL COMPLEX BUILDING.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish methods for
assuring security within the Municipal Complex Building; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT, the City Manager will control all keys permitting
access into the Municipal Complex Building, maintaining one master key
for himself and issuing one master key to the City Secretary, there being
no other master keys authorized for the Municipal Complex Building; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Schertz, Texas, will be issued
a key to the Office of the Mayor; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the City Manager will issue keys to City employees that
require access into the Municipal Complex Building as a provision of their
employment; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, all persons seeking entrance into the Municipal Complex
Building after 5:00 P.M. on normal work days, and at any time on non-work
days, will first advise the dispatcher on duty in the police department that
said person will be entering the Municipal Complex Building.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT, the duty dispatcher will maintain a log of all persons
entering the Municipal Complex Building showing name, date, time-in and
time-out and'signature of all persons entering the building.
