RESOLUTION NO. 'it;} - R - II
A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS, APPROVING NEW ELECTRIC RATES TO BE
CHARGED BY GUADALUPE VALLEY ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE.
WHEREAS, on June 1, 1982, the Guadalupe Valley Electric
Cooperative, Inc. filed with the Public Utility Commission of Texas, and
the following day with the City of Schertz, Texas, a Statement of Intent
to increase its rate for each class of electric service with the excep-
tion of security lighting; and
WHEREAS, at a hearing at the Public Utility Commission
held on August 17, 18 and 19, 1982, the merits of the proposed rate
increase were heard; and
WHEREAS. on October 8, 1982, the Hearings Examiner of the
Public Utility Commission issued her report citing the overall dollar
increase as just and reasonable, however, realigning the contribution by
rate class; and
WHEREAS, at the meeting of November 4, 1982, the Commissioners
of the Public Utility Commission granted Guadalupe Valley Electric Coopera-
tive, Inc. its requested dollar increase; however, once again, realigning
the contribution by rate class; and
WHEREAS the Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc.
has presented these reviSed rates, as approved by the Public Utility
Commission of Texas, to the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas,
in public session on December 7, 1982; and
WHEREAS, uniformity of electric rates by Guadalupe Valley
Electric Cooperative, Inc. throughout its service area is desirable; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT the revised rates proposed by the Guadalupe Valley
Electric Cooperative, Inc. become applicable to all Guadalupe Valley
Electric Cooperative, Inc. consumers within the corporate city limits
of the City of Schertz, Texas, and such rates to be applied on the
January 1, 1983, billing of the Cooperative.
