A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS, ADOPTING A CITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Committee of the City of Schertz,
after careful study, has recommended to this Council a City Development Plan
for the City of Schertz; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has carefully considered the City
Development Plan and finds that the said Plan constitutes a suitable,
logical and timely guide for the orderly growth of the City of Schertz,
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT the document consisting of text, maps and tables titled
"City Development Plan" and dated January 1983, is hereby adopted as the
City Development Planning Document of the City of Schertz.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT in order that the City Development Plan shall at all times
be current with the needs of the City of Schertz, the Planning Zoning
Committee shall review the Plan on a continuing basis and recommend changes,
additions or extensions to the Plan which the Committee considers necessary.
The Planning and Zoning Committee shall submit a report to the City Council
in December of each year listing the changes made during the year, and
status of proposed changes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT all matters affecting the physical development of the City
shall be reviewed to insure compatibility with the City Development Plan.
