A RESOLUTION
SELECTING FEDERAL AID URBAN SYSTEM PROJECTS AND
REQUESTING STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC
TRANSPORTATION CONCURRENCE AND IMPLEMENTATION.
WHEREAS, the Federal Aid Highway Act appropriated funds to be

spent on the Urban System of Highways; and
WHEREAS, the projects on which these funds are to be spent be
selected by the appropriate local officials in accordance with Federal
Regulation and State Open Meeting Laws; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public Transpor-
tation has established appropriate local officials for the City of Schertz,
Texas, urbanized Area as the members of the City of Schertz Council; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Schertz that the
State Deaprtment of Highways and PUblic Transportation assist in the pre-
paration of construction plans and specifications; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, GUADALUPE COUNTY,
TEXAS:
THAT the priority of the Urban System projects to be improved
in the City of Schertz Urbanized Area for the 1983-1986 Urban System
Program have been appropriately selected as follows:
Li ve Oak Road
From: F.M. 3009, west
To: Pecan Drive
THAT the Mayor of the City of Schertz, Texas, is hereby
authorized and directed to sign those documents, drawings and agreements,
on behalf of the City of Schertz, as are required for completion of projects
and set forth in this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED;
THAT the City Council request the concurrence of the State
Department of Highways and Public Transportation in this program of work.
