A RESOLUTION
SUPPORTING ADDITIONAL LOW-RENT ELDERLY HOUSING IN THE
SCHERTZ-RANDOLPH AREA.
WHEREAS, the Schertz-Randolph area has a need for additional
low-rent Elderly Housing, and
WHEREAS, the Schertz-Randol ph Area has adeep,:concern for
proper and affordable housing for our senior citizens; and
WHEREAS, the rapid growth of our area makes this need an
urgent need, and
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz Housing Authority has a proven
record of fiscal integrity and responsible management of Elderly low-
rent public housing; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,~~EXAS:
THAT the City Council fully supports an app1 ication for
additional Elderly Low-Rent Public Housing by the Housing Authority for
the City of Schertz, Texas; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the United States Department of Housing and
Urban Development give every consideration in approving this application
in order that this urgent need of our senior citizens can be eliminated.
