A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS APPROVING NEW ELECTRIC RATES TO BE
CHARGED BY GUADALUPE VALLEY ELECTRIC
COOPERATIVE
WHEREAS, on June 6, 1985, the Guadalupe Valley Electric
Cooperative, Inc. filed with the Public Utility Commission of
Texas, and on the same day with the City of Schertz, a Statement
of Intent to change its rate for each class of electric service;
and
WHEREAS, on September 4, 1985, all parties involved in
the proceeding before the Public Utility Commission met for
settlement talks and on September 10, 1985, a settlement
agreement was signed by the Guadalupe Valley Electric
Cooperative, Inc., the Public Utility Commission staff, and all
intervenors in Docket No. 6338; and
WHEREAS, the Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc.
has prepared rates which comply with the settlement agreement and
submitted them to the Public Utility Commission Hearing Examiner
for her review; and
WHEREAS, the GuadalUpe Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc.
has presented these revised rates which comply with the
settlement agreement in Docket No. 6338 to the City Council of
Schertz in Public Session on September 17, 1985; and
WHEREAS, uniformity of electric rates by GVEC throughout
its service area is desirable; NOW THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS;
THAT the revised rates proposed by the Guadalupe Valley Electric
Cooperative, Inc. become applicable to all GVEC consumers within
the corporate city limits of Schertz, and such rates to be placed
in effect on the effective date as stated in the Final Order of
the Public Utility Commission of Texas in Docket No. 6338.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this the 1'7 day of
