A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF LAND FOR
DRAINAGE RIGHT OF WAY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas
has determined that it is necessary to construct drainage
improvements to alleviate flooding; and
WHEREAS, the City has been unable to obtain the
necessary easement for drainage purposes on and across the lands
hereinafter described in this resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
necessary to acquire such land to complete the drainage project:
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT the City Manager be directed and authorized to
negotiate the purchase of land from Joe N. Contreras and wife,
Vita B. Contreras as follows: All that certain Lot 1, Block 44,
Live Oak Hills Subdivision, T. Herrera Survey, Guadalupe County,
Texas, according to plat recorded in Vol. 2,pg 146-147 Plat
Records of Guadalupe County, Texas. The cost of purchase not to
exceed $3500, plus closing costs.
