A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE UNITED WAY AND
ENCOURAGING RESIDENTS TO CONTRIBUTE THEIR
FAIR SHARE.
WHEREAS, the United Way funds over 100 agencies that
provide more than 200 human services; and
WHEREAS, Many residents of Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe
County are helped by United Way funded agencies; and,
WHEREAS, many Greater Randolph Area agencies like Boy
Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H Clubs and G.R.A.S.P. could not maintain
existing programs or levels of service without United Way funds;
and, NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ:
THAT the City of Schertz supports the United Way and
encourages all residents to contribute their fair share.
