SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
JULY 12, 1985
The Schertz City Council convened in Special Session, Fr iday,
July 12, 1985, at 4:35 p.m. in the Conference Room of the
Municipal Conplex, 1400 Live Oak Road. The following members
were present: Mayor Earl W. Sawyer, presiding; Raymond Stanhope;
Adolph Aguilar; and Ken Greenwald. Absent: Charles B. Sharpe
and Hal Baldwin. Staff present were City Manager Jimmy G.
Gilmore and City Secretary June G. Krause.
#1 MEETING TIME CHANGE: Mayor Sawyer explained that
although Council had agreed at the last meeting to delay the
starting time for the meeting on Tuesday July 16 until 8 :00
o'clock p.m., our ordinance sets the time for regular meetings at
7:00 p.m.. Therefore there had to be a vote on changing the time
of a regular meeting.
Mr. Aguilar moved to change the meeting time for the Regular
Meeting of July 16th, 1985 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Stanhope seconded
the motion which carried with the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Stanhope, Aguilar and Greenwald
NAYS: None
i2 GENERAL DISCUSSION: Mayor Sawyer said that he had been
r- interviewed by the New Braunfels reporter in regards to our
I dispute with Green Valley Water Supply District. He reported
that all he said to them was that we just want to serve our
citizens.
Mr. Aguilar said there would be a Water Task Force meeting on
July 26th in San Antonio and he would not be able to attend.
i3 ADJOURNMENT: Mr. Stanhope moved the meeting be
adjourned at 4:50 p.m., Mr. Greenwald seconded the motion which
carried unanimously.
