BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT Earl Hartzog, Chairman Ted Duigon, Vice Chainnan Peggy Brown Joe Potempa William Sonuners, Planning and Zoning Commissioner CITY STAFF Amy Madison, Conununily Development Director Debbie PelTone, Recording Secretary MEMBERS ABSENT James C. Harden Leonard Truitt, Building Official Kathy Hill OTHERS PRESENT Robert Brockman 1. Call to OrderlRolI Call Chairman Hartzog called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. 2. Approval of the Minutes: Consider and take aclion on approval of the August 25, 2003 minutes from the Board of Adjustment meeting. Following review, Mr. Duigon moved to approve the Minutes of the August 25, 2003 Board of Adjustment meeting. Mr. Potempa seconded the motion. Motion carned. Vote W1animous. 3. Public Hearing Comments from Citizens Mr. Brockman viewed his concerns of Mr. & Mrs. Towey putting another building when there was already a slorage shed on the property. Mr. Brockman was concerned that the lot would have too many buildings on it. Mr. Brockman was neither for or against lhe addition of the workshop. 4. Discuss and Take Appropriate Action: On the request for Mr. & Mrs. Timothy Towey to encroach len feet into the 20-foot rear yard setback at 129 Richardson Drive, Greenfield Village, Block I, Lot 6, to build a 440 square fool workshop (BOAI97-03) Six letters were mailed out to neighbors wilhin 200 feel of Mr. & Mrs. Towey's property. Two letters were returned one in favor and one opposed. Motion made by Ms. Brown 10 approve the-request for Mr. & Mrs. Timothy Towey to encroach ten feet into the 20-foot rear yard setback at 129 Richardson Drive, Greenfield Village, Block I, Lot 6, to build a 440 sqnare foot workshop (BOAI97-03) Joe Potempa seconds the motioned to approve Mr. & Mrs. Timothy Towey to encroach ten feet into the 20- foot rear yard setback at 129 Richardson Drive, Greenfield Village, Block 1, Lot 6, 10 build a 440 square foot workshop (BOAI97-03). A vole was called. All were in favor. The motion carried. 5. Update the Board on Planning and Zoning Activity Ms. Madison updated the Board on the progress of the PID on FM 3009 and IH 35 inlersection. She said the project was moving quickly. Discussion only.
