LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES The Library Advisory Board met March 6, 1989, at 7:30 P.M. in regular session on Monday, Members present: Connie Brison, Chairman Marge Smith, Secretary Julie Parr, Treasurer Margaret Riley Tony Paulson Mary McAllister Ruth Tienor Gerald Thurman David Arneson Ex-Officio - Gail Douglas Libr. Aggie Aguilar -City Council Representative The minutes were presented. Tony moved to accept the minutes and Julie seconded. Motion carried. The treasurer's report for February was presented along with an updated report for January. The treasurer's report for the dance and auction was also provided. Julie advised that the book for Mr. Lanier was still an outstanding expense; however,we still had some money coming in which should take care of it. Ruth moved we accept the treasurer's t"eport and Margaret seconded it. Motion carried. LIBRARIAN'S REPORT: Gail advised that Mr. Sweatt, City Manager, had requested a written report for each month. A copy of the report was given to each board member. Gail said the city auditor, Mr. Ed Thorpe, recommended that in the future all library money should go through the city to insure proper recordkeeping. Gail reported that the thank-you letters for the dance and auction had been sent. An application for the Dobie Grant has been sent in. advised that a decision will be made in the middle of March. grant is based on community support.
