The minutes were presented. Tony moved that we accept the
minutes. Mary seconded. Motion passed.

Four representatives of local carpeting companies were present to
discuss bids on carpeting the library. The representatives were
from Carpet World, Champion Carpets, Riedel's Furniture, and
Floclr Decl:.t". The adval"lta!;;leS al",d disadvar,tages of olefirl and
nylon carpeting were discussed. All representatives had a ten
year wear guarantee and a five year installation guarantee. They
were asked to present bids C1n 26 oz. nylon carpeting with unitary

oz. olefin with unitary backing. The bids were to be received by

copies of bid sheets. They all agreed that it would take seven
to ten days to get the carpeting in after it was ordered.
Michelle with the Humane Society was present. She wanted to know
where the auction and dance were going to be held. Mar~aret
stated that there would be a $100.00 charge for the use of the
VFW hall. David moved we have the auction and dance at the VFW
on February 18, 1990, from 3:00 to 8:00 P. M. Mary seconded.

David suggested that we cut a door between the meeting room and
the closet so that we can put away items such as the TV, VCR's
and the projector.
David moved that we accept the lowest bid on 26 oz. olefin
carpeting with backing. The bids are to be received on Friday,
December 8, 1989. Ruth seconded. Motion passed.
