SCHERTZ PUBLIC LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD (LAB) MINUTES
The LAB met on December 1,1997 at 7:00 p.m. with the following members
present:
John Grosskopf
Mary McAllister
Ruth Tienor
Barbara Quates
Barbara Ricks
Gail Douglas
Pattie Lovelady
Margaret Riley
Julie Parr
Juan Thorn
Minutes for the November meeting were presented. Ruth made the motion to
accept the minutes, and Mary seconded. The motion carried.
Treasurers Report: No report was available at this time.
Librarian's Report:
- Gina resigned and Gail has put an ad in the paper. So far, there have been
22 applicants for the job.
Joanne Wood will be doing story time until April.
Gail is still working on getting Christmas decorations, and may possibly get
extra lights from the Fire Dept. to hang outside.
The bookcase from Brodart was fixed by Zack and a friend, instead of having
to send it back to the company. The $200 needed for the repair was not
necessary.
Tony VanderHeyden is the library's computer consultants we may get our
computers from him. He is trying to get his name placed on the state
approved list of vendors.
New Business:
The slate of officers for 1998 remains the same as 1997.

The Motion to adjourn was made by Ruth and seconded by Julie.
