SCHERTZ PUBLIC LmRARY ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES
The Library Board met in regular session on March 6, 1994, with the following members
present:
Richard Cervantes Gail Douglas Earl Sawyer Barbara Quates
Ruth Tienor Julie Parr Mary McAllister Pattie Lovelady
The Minutes were presented. Ruth moved to accept and Julie seconded. The motion carried.
The Treasurer's Report was presented. Ruth moved to accept and Earl seconded. The motion
. carried.
The Librarian's Report was presented:
- Gail showed us a rough copy of the new library pamphlet. It will be picked up this
week from the printer
- Stats were up 1231 over last year at this same time.
- Contract for software was signed. Gail is now going through all of the specs and a
request for bids will go out shortly.
- Mr. Sweeney informed Mr. Sweatt that he wants to donate a signed print honoring
the military.
- Gail will be gone March 20-28 for Spring Break. '.
Committee Reports: No reports were presented.
Old Business: Still considering several people to be on the board.
New Business:
- The Schertz Library Book Sale will be held on Friday, April 7th from 2:00 P.M. to
8:00 P.M. and on Saturday. April 8th,.from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
- Workday on April3rd after regular meeting.
- Richard will make poster to distribute throughout the area advertising the Book Sale.
- The San Antonio Library will be closed for almost a month so we will have limited
access for local schools, etc. '
Citizens to be Heard: None present.
Adiournment: Ruth moved to adjourn and Earl seconded; the motion carried.
