THE SCHERTZ LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES
The Library Board met in regular session on November 14,
1994 with the followi~g members present: Richard Cervantes,
Pattie Lovelady, Julie Parr, Gail Douglas, Earl Sawyer, Ruth
Tienor, Mary McAllister amd Margaret Riley. The minutes were
presented. Ruth moved to accept and Julie seconded. Motion
carried.
The Treasurer's Report was presented. Ruth moved to accept and
Earl seconded. Motion carried.
The Librarian's Report was presented.
* Stats are up-1600 more than last year
* Automation-Gail is going to Lockhart on November 23 to
check out their system.
* CV Educ. Association will read this week for National
Children's Book Week
* Security system is working - minimal loss of books and
videos
* The city is promoting a 1/2 cent sales tax until a bond
can be issued---will help economic development and taxes
will not increase---Mr. Sweatt wants to come and discuss
this with us.
Committee Reports:
Bookstore planned to clean up but found it unecessary.

New Business:
* Expired terms were reviewed
* Margaret resigned from a future term
* Pattie, Ruth and Earl accepted for another term
* Meetings will be held the first Monday of each month at
7:00 P.M. This will begin in December with a party
following the meeting.
* Everyone will be thinking of individuals to fill the two
vacancies on the LAB.
Ruth moved to adjourn and Margaret seconded.
